Entry Feed Rate

Is there a way to slow the feed rate for entry into the part until the tool is fully engaged. It is a countour move and is starting off the part. Mill V8.1. Thanks

try going into geo in the oparation manger then click on the geo,right click and change at a point.

Jay is indicating a change on the NCI file itself. This is a root level function that other systems lack and is quite effective.

 

My question is, will this edit remain effective even after a regen?

 

I know the Pro/E tool paths that I use will remain associative, even after adding in a feed change to the CL data file (so long as it is modified within the dialogue box and not on a remote editor).

Yes sir.

I did a contour test and then went back and offset one of the lines in the contour then regen and post and my changes were still there.

Andrew, Jay was using the associative chain manager, not the toolpath editor.

V9.1 has feedrate controls on leadin/outs
