solid of a jet boat

Hi everyone.

I am not too familiar with solids (but learn quickly) and I have a couple of questions. I was wondering, if anyone has ever designed a jet boat in Mastercam would you give me an idea of where to start from? I have the shape of the transom and the shape of the side profile. What would be the method of attack. Drawing surfaces? Solids? I am not sure which method would be best.

The other question is, does mastercam allow us to take a formed surface and flatten it out so it can be pre cut?

P.S. This is not for a customer. My fishing partner and I are trying to build a river boat.

Thanks, Phil

Hi Phil

My dad is wanting to do the same thing !!!!!

We have a engine and jet pump out of a old standup jet ski 550 cc and he wants to make a two man boat that can go down river as well as come back up.

I drew a little something using surfaces and tried to keep all panels flat. but work has got in the way of proceeding.

dont you hate it when those paying customers get in the way of what you realy want to do !!!

I also am wondering if I can get "patterns" to use to cut the componets.

I also am drawing it in Solidworks but it is not ready
