LEVELS

Would anyone happen to know how to fix this problem. A problem exists when I am importing a parasolid .XT file into Mastercam. The solid file has different levels and colours in its original state. The specific wireframe and the solid of it are together individualy on different levels.

When I import the solid into mastercam all the specific wireframes come in on there different levels. However the mateing solid features of those individual wireframes all come in on one level together. So I end up having to sort out the solids and put them onto the proper level with its wireframe.

A big time waster.

Any insight to fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you've already diagnosed this problem carefully.

Unless someone jumps in with some added insight, what you are left with is a Functionality Request for a future release. Send this through your reseller with supporting files to illustrate your request.

I'd be willing to take a look at it if you send an .X_T file in with the enhancement request (eMail it to [email protected]). I'm also trying to figure out what "together individually on different levels" means. There is no "level" information in the .X_T file. We put each solid body (and it's edges if you requested them) on individual levels -starting with the current level and incrementing by one.
