Using a parasolid to program ?

Ronan,

Welcome to the forum. Wirepaths in Mastercam require chained geometry. That means you won't be able to use the solid edge for a contour toolpath. Generate edge curves when converting the file, or create them on the existing solid using the Create-Curve menu. After creating the edge curves you can flatten them out using the Squash function from the XForm menu in V9. Previous versions of Mcam contained Squash as a C-Hook. Once the entities are flat, you can chain them at will. You may also try to use the Chain option "Ignore Depths", but I don't know if that will include geometry that is at a depth difference greater than the Chain tolerance. HTH biggrin.gif
