Is it possible to feed at different feedrates on different dia's?

There is only 1 option to give a feedrate for each op.

For example:

I would like to finish a shaft that has multiple dia's and finish some at .004 ipr and others at .012 ipr without having to make seperate toolpaths or modify my nc file.

Any suggestions?

from MC i'don't know how to do but you can add directly feedrates in the NC code for each dia.

One way we use is to click on the geometry for the toolpath in the operation manager. Then right click on the chain to change. From this menu choose change at point. This works for ver 8.1, but I don't know about ver 9.

I tried it but the "Change at point" is grayed out so I can't click on it.

Seems like they need to do some refining on their lathe options.

It would be nice to have the option to turn any dia,radius,chamfer etc. each at different feeds.

WITHOUT having to change it in the .nc code.

It does work in V9. I was unable to get "change at point" to work in my rough cycle but it worked fine in finish. I usually add a comment "with" the line to help me see the change better. It takes a bit of fooling to get it right where you want the change.

V8, Operations Manager, Highlight the operation,

Right Click to Options,then to Toolpath Editor.

Add points, change whatever.

We use when you Rough Groove a Part, then come back and Finish the O.D. and want to rapid across the gap the Rough Groove tool left to save time.

Works pretty Slick.
