Project Bolt Pattern on Curved Surface ?

Recommended Posts

I have a part that has a slight radius to the top surface. And would like to place a bolt pattern on top of this surface. I have read the Previous post on Projection, and still not sure.

Please be specific. I have 2 seperate files. First file is the part drawn with the curved top surface. The second file is the flat bolt pattern. How do I place the bolt pattern on top of the curved NURBS surface.

Thanks in advance (TIA)

Problem solved ..

Thanks Jean!!!

(Hi Vector,

I think it’s very simple why it wouldn’t work. You need to have curves (arcs or lines) when you project curves, if you want to project only points then you’ll have to go in create points srf project and then follow the prompts. I projected them according to top view you could also project it to the surface normal.

Bien à vous!

Best regards!)
