G1 modal post problem

This has always worked perfectly, and then today suddenly:

Normally I get a G0 for lead in then a G1 on the first feed move (linear in this case and Contour). Today I get no G1 and it rapids for the feed cut. My post has sgcode on that line but it appears not to check the modality when it gets there.

This does not happen if I post just that OP, but only when it follows another op with a different tool.

I suspect the interpreter program is not working properly. What is the name of that program? I would like to replace it with a backup and try again.

Sounds like somebody is forcing out a G0 in the post without using sgcode like "G0G91G28" etc.

In which case the post is not aware that you ever left G01 interp therefore is not issuing another G01. That would be why it only happens if you post out 2 or more ops.

Nominal,

I think your correct. This particualar combination just happen to show up at the machine.

First time....

For temporary, I forced the sgcode and it outputs on every line and that will work until I can fix the post.

Thank You,

Andy

Well, I discovered that my top of stock rapid planes were fine, but I was not using the clearance plane option at the top of paramater page. I check marked it and put a small clearance in and posted and got a G1 in the proper place.....

I usually do have the clearance plane checked and never noticed this issue. Also the rapid is forced in the post at ptlchg "G0 ...." So you probaly hit the modal problem right on the nose.

I will keep looking.

Thanks
