TOOL CHANGE

Drilling cycles do not use cutter compensation so the diameter of the drill has no effect on the XY coordinates in the toolpath. You may need to adjust your depth to compensate for the longer tip length.

Use a text editor to edit the depth fields (4th) in the G81 and G100 lines if needed. The tool diameter is the 2nd field in the G1013 line, the tool radius is the 3rd.

I assume you want to redefine the drill from .201 to .257 & regen to update then post

"You said"

What is the best way to change drill (not delete and load new)?

In the tool manager.---> mainmenu/deftools /current

The tool manager box appears.

Right click the drill you want to change & select EDit tool. "Define tool box appears"

There you can change your tool definitions.

Do a regen & a re- post

Hope this is what you want

Kenny

pick parameters for that operation, right click the window and get the new tool from the library that you want. regen the path.

if you want to, the pick ncutils, then define tols. then current and uncheck the

filter if active, which will list all of the tools in your current program. the ones that are being used will have a green check

on them. the unused will be slightly indented. you can delete the unchecked ones

without doing any damage.
