Charmilles Wire

Can anybody that uses Charmilles wire machines tell me what kind of Tec file ( # of cuts and what settings) they use on Revision parts. We just started doing revisions on them and I am having problems getting a part out to size when we don't bury the wire. (Ex. We are cutting H13 hardened steel taking off .015" using .010" zinc coated wire.)

One thing you didn't mention was the height of your cut. I have parts that I often skim off .01 to .015. The height of my cut is 4". I ran into issue of them bellying and the final pass would go to contact. What I did to solve the problem was I dropped my comp on the 1st cut a tenth or two and backed off on my flush. The high flush would cause my wire to deflect on the roughing pass. I run Mitsubishi EDM's.
