Shawn,

have you tried installing the latest X5 hasp software on your server.

We're still running an old version ( X3 or 4 ??) with no trouble, but you've been fighting with your net hasp since day one.

At this point its all I can think of to try

I restarted all computers with mcam installed, and it works now. there must of been a licence assigned to a computer without mastercam running. Is this possible?

A license can hang, using the nhaspx.exe and active licenses, can show you if there is an active license. If so using the License Manager software to stop and start the service, will release the hung license. Better than rebooting the server.

We had a very weird occurrence yesterday with our net hasp.

We've got 4 Level 3 Mill seats and 3 Multi axis.

All 4 L3 seats were in use and the boss tried to launch

a a copy on his machine.

It launched but was very glitchy and locked up.

Had it run, it would have been a 5th seat.

Not recognizing the problem we gave up on my bosses computer.

I went back to my machine which still had a X5 open.

As soon as I clicked on the X5 window I got an alarm.

"Nethasp found but SIM is not connected to server."

3 seats of L3 would run OK, but the 4th would not run.

I rebooted the boss's machine, my machine and restarted the

nethasp server, but it didn't fix the problem.

We could run 3 of 4 seats on any combination of our 4 workstations

but the 4th would not run on any workstation.

We gave up and ran the 4th L3 seat on a hardware hasp for a couple of hours

then tired the nethasp again.. and everything was OK.

I thought it pretty strange that the nethasp

reported no sim, but would allow 3 or four licenses to run
