Cimco as default editor.. X5

I've tried everything to get to X5 to default to Cimco, but everytime I post out I file Mastercam Editor comes up. .. In all of configurations,machine and control def I have set to Cimco. What am I missing? I'm considering switching to Mastercam editor but the man says stick with Cimco.

make sure in your system config file...start/exit the cimco you chose points to the right directory. i don't use the cimco that came with MC so i chose other and browsed to the correct directory. hth

The only place I can think of which controls the default Editor is Settings, Config, Start/Exit. So if that isn't sticking then maybe there are some folder access problems on your system (related to your user login, vs an Administrator login).

 

The config file that stores the editor choice is in your personal "My Mcamx5" folder, as opposed to the shared Mastercam folder, for your info.
