Edm Help

I have been sinking a SS part on a Hansvedt edm. I got .300 down into the hole but didn't get the full .350 depth. I keep on getting a spark gap fail problem. I've tried playing around with the current, duration, and ontime and keep on getting the error. What can I do when I run into these problems? What might be causing this to happen. I've cleaned the burnt areas off the electrode and even reshaped it, but cannot figure this one out.

Electrode-copper

Part-SS

Polarity +

Arc Duration 260

Peak Current 14

On time 20

Electrode Size

.100 X .170 going .350 deep

Thanks in advance
