Does anyone know the variable's name holding the next operations tool number.

 

This is not the variable next_tool

 

I would like to know whare i can find the next operations tool number befor leaving the presant operation.

It is a system variable, so you need the $ at the end: next_tool$

What kind of post do you have? I am using Mpmaster and the variable is "next_tool$"

The veriable next_tool gives you the next tool used but with that in mind if in the next opp. I am using the same tool how do I find that tool in the post. We are using the MPMASTER post with a lot of changes in it.

We are using the MPMASTER post with a lot of changes in it. For HAAS' and GE 1050 controls

if you are at null toolchange, then the next operation is using same tool as previous operation. But I do not see a way to look ahead to the operation beyond that.

Can we some how use a read buffer or a perread routine with a flag for the tool no. to the opp. no. to be recalled later
