The operations manager for or shop (I have no direct supervisor)is right now in the shop replacing a 3 phase motor on one of the grinders. Then he will hard wire in a couple of little manuals we just got. The only thing he asks me to do is " If you go to Starbucks, I'll buy " biggrin.gif

Damn Greg, you're in a foul mood today.

No comment on the supervisor thing, I'm not the only one from my company who is out here; just the only one who speaks.

I love the layout of some shops; my old shop had the Grinding (as in angle grinders (loud), not surface grinders(quiet)) Department right next to the production control office. Nothing like talking to a customer on the phone with three guys wailing away with 5" snagging wheels 3' away:

"...WHAT??.....WHAT??...WHAT...?"

I worked at a shop that had the QC room in the center of the shop. They had 2 Amadas within like 3 feet of the walls to QC. When they would punch out 1/4" alum it would bounce the equipment we had on the granite so you couldn't check parts. eek.gif Remeber that, Trevor?

'Rekd teh I'm taking an early lunch, be back later when there's not an earthquake in QC..
