4 axis question

Heres one for the post gurus.I am currently cutting interupted threads on a 4 axis(rotary table c axis)vertical spindle deckel with a dialog 11 control.I have up to now been programing manualy and would like to program in mcam thus giving me more control of lead in and lead out etc.I have talked to my reseller and have yet to hear back on it.I basicaly need to get my post to output a positive y axis approach followed by a c axis rotation with a negative z motion instead of a xyz axis move.My question is can my dialog 11 post be tweaked or will I have to start from a mpfan post or such.I have also checked the stock posts on macam 9 demo disk(as They still won't buy me version 9)and I don't think they support what I want to do.

MachineSMMC

The problem is that the lead in/lead out at the end of the thread is critical.Up to now we grind the tool to -.001" of the lead in/out rad.I would like to grind my tools smaller and actualy be able to cut the lead in lead out arcs so as to eliminate dwell marks.

The post tha we are currently using is a modified

MPDECKH from a few years back.I am assuming the because it says no under # 4-axis/Axis subs. that this post does not support what I want to do.

I would like to be able to program in mc by using a spline from the 3D model as some of the threads I have to cut are ovalized on dia. Also it would allow me to use a better approach so as to get improved cutter wear and surface finish.I talked to my MC rep 2 weeks ago and he didn't sound to confident about a solution. You tend to get that response when dealing with older deckel controls.I will try to output code using MPfan to make sure I have the Mcam settings right.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
