2d wireframe

I am pulling in files from solid works ( wich were already converted to IGES because i am using v8.1),wich includes a surface model and a SW generated wireframe. I was attempting to do some simplistic 2D wire toolpaths and it just wouldn't take.The toolpath that was generated sort of looked like the system was inverting the across contour as it went over the along. I had to recreate the geo. in mastercam to do it. all geo was either arcs or lines, no splines. Is there a better way to convert from SW to MC? Thanks in advance

Try 'Screen - next menu - Comb Views'. This will usually correct the problem you're having. Also, 'Delete Duplicates' sometimes helps.

I combine views when UG parasolid files are brought in. Entities will not chain properly when doing 2d swept toolpaths. The problem is usually solved doing this.

Is there a better way to extract Solid Work files in 8.1? right now we convert SW to IGES and then to MC8. Does paradolid work directly?

Il500 you can use Parasolid direct but save it as a lower parasolid like version13.
