Program names

When I'm doing my programs I like to name them as I go when I start a new machine group and name the first program sometimes it does not work and I have to go back and do it after the program has processed, and other times it works fine and takes the name the first time. I do it the same every time so I don't know what the diffrence is and it reeally annoys me to have to do something twice is this something thats normal and I will just have to live with it or is there something diffrent I can do.

If you mean the nc filename, look in Settings > Config > Toolpath manager.

Keep in mind that if you are copying operations between program groups, the NC file name does not automatically change.

Sometimes you need to regen to get the program name to stick.. not sure why.

I'm not copying just simply making a new program. and it's always the first program in a group that I have trouble with not taking the name before I process it. sometimes it does sometimes it don't. and what setting s do I need to change to see if it helps?
