top of stock in drill tool path

i need help seting this up i have to start .05 below a fixture i have but when i put -.05 on the top of stock section it wont do it it still starts at my touch off point any one have ant ideas?

In the older surface paths you need to set "depth limits" on last tab of operation

On newer surface paths its set under "cut parameters"- "steep/shallow"

 

For 2d paths you have to turn depth cuts on in order for them to reckonise the top of stock setting.

for drilling you have to switch retract to incr. mode then it will start in relation to where you set your top of stock

This would peck drill starting from .1 (R value)

If you want it to start .05 below fixture(assuming fixture is 0) then just change it to .05

Same if you wanted to start at -.200. I would just change the r value to -.100. I always start the drill cycle .100 above stock, hence my r value settings. Change the retract value as well as top of stock in your parameters. Hope this helps.
