Slow feed on finish passes of pocket

Recommended Posts

X4 MU3

I machine graphite only. (entire mold is Graphite)

I do some insert pockets using a 1/4" em the reach could be a long as 4 inches

but the poket 3/4" deep

I use a .05 stepdown and for finish cuts I use '3' and finish step '0', as to take 3 deflection cuts.

I use a 40 feed. I would like the finish '3' cuts, to feed at 20 or less.

Is there a way to do this with out creating a 2nd path only cutting the final depth?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Rick
