MILL_INCH.DEFAULTS-5 error

I keep getting this error MILL_INCH.DEFAULTS-5 does not axist and I ask how can this be I Just installed it any answers ?

the most common reason for this is your Windows username cannot see the

C:\Users\ your username here \Documents\my mcamx5

 

other causes are

logging in as admin, doing a "me only" install then logging in as a different username

forcing the X5 install to put the files somewhere other than default settings..

dropping a preX5 config file into the X5 config

moving the mymcamx folder after install

renaming X4 config and control definitons to X5 names .. instead of running them through the update utility

yea, i renamed X4 config now its cool, thanks for the reply ! ! !

Let me rephrase this I renamed the X4 MILL_INCH.DEFAULTS to 5

you need to run your X4 default files through the update folder

at File/Update Folder

I strongly recommend you delete your renamed config file and let mastercam rebuild a fresh one.

You are in for a world of trouble doing that... see my siggy ...

Got it, after taking a closer look at the install path I found the default folders, and I might say what a odd place, 5 folders deep in a folder called Ops , were the other versions of X just to simple to have everything in one place, I meen really, I had to hunt for everything ! ! ! and I am still getting a INSERT. TLB error every time I open
