copy image to clipboard

my copy image to clipboard does not work in Windows7

running MCX 4 MU3 with Quadro FX 3800 video card

how do i fix that

If Print Screen doesnt work, you can download and install the free Verisurf add-on and try

using the screen shot in there. It works inside MC and opens paint automatically.

i am not trying to use the print screen. i am trying to use copy image to clipboard from the screen pull down menu where i can copy individual areas of the screen by windowing them. it worked fine in XP befor the upgrade to windows7

I'd suggest using the handy Snipping Tool that is part of Windows 7

(Under Programs - Accessories)

As Mastercam's internal copy image to clipboard isn't to work for you running X4 with Windows 7

thanks Roger that works but it is not 100%. is this issue in X5?

It might be a Windows 7 quirk. On the X4 or X5 icon in windows 7 right click and go to properties. Then look for the compatibility tab. Then at the bottom is a run as administrator check box. Check it and then try running Mastercam, now if your permission are not turned all the way down ni Windows 7 every time you start Mastercam it will give you a warning. Then it should work. Now you can try registering the .dll through control control panel applet, but the problem is finding the correct .dll to register.

I found a solution to the clipboard issue with windows 7  64bit, If you right click the x4 icon, properties, compatibility tab, check the box disable desktop composition. This fixed it for me and the printer preview window on the printer screen.
