No splines were converted

I am trying to convert a NURBS spline into lines and arcs using simplify. I get the message "No splines were converted". Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong? This is a spline that was created using the "create" "turn profile" feature.

Most likely some kind of tolerance issue, did you try edit, trim/break, break many pcs?

Edit/Simplify will only convert circular splines to arcs and linear splines to lines. It will not convert a single complicated spline into lines and arcs. As Keith suggests above, Trim/Break/Many is the place to go for that.

I know that this is an old thread, but this is some really good info! I guess in hindsinght it is pretty simple but it I've been messing around with trying to convert a complex spline to curves for a while, and i managed to get some good looking geom using this method! Hopefully the machine result is better also!
