I like the idea of editing my tool librarys in excel but I cant find an easy way of importing the .txt file into excel, or formatting back out of execl into MasterCam dose any one know if the .txt is saved as a standart type of database ?

I dont find editing the raw .txt as a good way to go?

Thanks for you Help Clay

I have also been working on this and have heard that there is a problem with converting from txt files in V9. I am hoping that they get this fixed soon. Search the forum for "converting tool library form text file" and you will find a thread where someone got it to work. He has V8 and V9, so he made his excell sheet, converted from txt in V8 (which he said works), then updated his libray from V8 to V9. If you have V8, try this out. You have to make a macro to set the excell information comma delimited to get it into the txt file in correct format, but he said he got it to work. Oh if only I had V8!! A bit cumbersome, but probably still faster that hand typing. Good luck
