ok was digging a bit deeper and found out the tool was set to "after" which should be no big deal

in my post i have "before", "with" and "after" all set after the spindle command

flipping it to "before" got it to work

this use to work in X4 MU3

the reason for this is we have so many tools built up i dont know what tool is set to what "before, with, after" and was running into coolant not turning on fast enough on the machines so i moved all the pcan, pcan1, pcan2 up in the post.

did something change here i dont know about?

ok i found out some more info here

when you double click a tool to use and it is set to "before" when it gets moved up to the current op its flipping to "after"

anybody else seeing this or am i the only guy who uses X style coolant

sorry reread post

running X style coolant and is set to "from tool"

I know that the coolant has been set to the V9 style for backwards compatibility with older posts, there is a way to reset the operations default so that the X style coolant function will be loaded into the operations. I set the coolant default from the operations.

If you are using Windows 7 or Vista C:\Users\Public\Documents\Shared McamX5

If you are using Windows XP C:\Documents and Settings\ All Users\Shared Documents\Shared McamX5

1 - go to Shared McamX5\mill\ops, folder, rename mill_inch.defaults to mill_inch.mcx

2 - open mill_inch.mcx in Mastercam as a part file

3 - open the Machine definition through the settings drop down

4 - use general machine parameters and set the coolant to the VX style

5 - save the file & exit Mcam

6 - go back to Shared McamX5\mill\ops, rename mill_inch.mcx back to mill_inch.defaults
