Optimize cut order in High Speed Surfacingtoolpaths

I'm doing a high speed waterline toolpath on a very large part.

The part has 8 big fingers and "Optimize cut order" is doing a decent job

of controlling the toolpath... but it could be better.

Is there any way the user can have some influence on how optimize breaks up the toolpath?

Sure you tried it already, but increase the "keep tool down" value? I've found it can be difficult to really control alot of the motion in those hst. I still use the old style for maximum tweaking.

Alternately the hybrid toolpath tends to be extremely efficient, if it will work for your application. I wish it had angle limiting as well as depth limiting too however.

I like this path, I have found if I can't control is just as I want, I'll do it in separate paths

Copy and pasting and just changing a containment is pretty quick
