Inserting a link in Mastercam file

I have a habit of taking pictures and writing setup notes in notepad about the parts i´m making. My question is, would it be possible to insert a link to those pics and notes in mastercam file. For example in the text that I write to the graphic screen?

I make a new folder (set up pics) in the folder with the mcx file, that way when I go to file open I see the folder and know that I have something for it. If you just put the .jpg's & .txt's in the same folder as the mcx file you won't see em unless you change the "files of type" drop down. But it will show you the "set up pics" folder.

 

To answer your question I've never heard of being able to put links on the mcam screen..

Create - Drafting - Note to "write text on the screen".

But it's not going to be hyperlink.

Verisurf has a free Utility (Add-In to Mastercam) that has a feature called "Notes". There are two tabs available, one called "Part Notes" that lets you put in text that is stored in that specific file. There is a second tab that holds global notes (basically just strings of text or numbers) and these notes appear in every Mastercam file.
