Slow feedrate at corners...

Is there a way to automatically slow a feedrate down for corners only? Would this be a Mastercam function or post function? I would like to slow my feedrate down for inside corners and have normal speed during most everything else. I would like to be able to do this with one operation, and not have to make adjustments in my post files.

You can go into your operations manager, right click on the geometry icon in the operation you want to modify, then select change at point. Then pick the point you want to change. A small dialog box will come up with options for changing different things. I write programs for Fadals and sometimes at high feedrates, corners do not always interpolate precicely. You can adjust your feedrates at these corners independantly from your original feedrate. It can be a little tedious but it does give you some control.

you might also want to look at meta-cut .

optimizes your tool path . just program to the max of your carbide , and meta-cut does the rest .

it works to the limitations of your machine and control . to work accurate and smother

i have heard vericut also has a optimizer , but do not know much about it .
