Any ideas? I have tried an STL and a solid as Verify stock, The result is the same

I copied a link to my similar topic from last week.

 

My guess is that Mastercam can't do anything but simple verification files. Large stl's, and complicated multiaxis or surfacing work makes it lock up. I ended up going into the verfiy parameters over and over until it would work.

 

Go in and bump up your tool tolerance and stl tolerance .001 at a time and retry. Keep bumping until it will run. Hopefully you'll hit the sweet spot before it turns to an unusable mess on the screen.

you can also reduce the quality in the verify settings and /or set a bigger filter in your toolpath

My verify works great on the sample impeller 5 axis stuff.

 

But its with ball mills.

 

I think it is a bullnose problem from the info I have been getting.

just a guess.

 

I don't stl compare though.

 

I used. 001 tolerance.

I have had this issue for years. Nothing.... works for large HS or complex 5X files, tried them all, I finally gave up. Except turnning of the true solids option. Sucks because you can't move the file or save the stl.

I recently encountered the same problem. It turned out that on one toolpath, going around a round boss, I changed the startpoint so the lead in/out would be on the left side of the boss instead of the right side. That was all it took to make it crash. I then rotated the circle that I extruded the boss from 180 deg. Problem solved.
