3.5-8 BUTRESS THREEAD

Can somebody with a fanuc lathe post please program a 3.5-8 buttress thread? this is what i'm getting=

It keeps giving me an alarm at n130, and the thread shape looks like crap!!!!

start thread +.4 from z0 and finish at z-1.521 so I can compare.....thanks in advance

Ray go back and look at some of the old work I did for the Viper when Ron V worked there. We had all that stuff dialed in on those parts that had Buttress Threads.

What alarm are you getting?

P020006 = 2 finish passes, angle of 00 and .006 d.o.c if I remember right.

Have you tried P024506?

Also what material are you cutting? 200rpm seems a little slow, unless it's a nasty alloy.

Does your machine recognize the Fanuc style 2-line canned cycles?

If so, you might need to change the Q15 to a D15

It's either that or the R0. cannot have a decimal.

Ray it was the forge company we did the bunker buster shells for between the Integrex and the Viper about 3 years ago.

well you were right about the "." on line n130, and I took out the 06 in this block P024506 and left it as P024500
