stage tools in cimco edit

Hi all, is there a way to quickly add staged tool numbers to an Nc program?

im using x3 and i know within mastercam control file you can do it but i just wanted to know

if you can make cimco edit add a toolnumber at a certain spots in the program

I don't think cimco can make changes to the program. Usually there is a switch in the control def (you already know that) and also a switch in the post.

 

 

stagetool   : 0     #0 = Do not pre-stage tools, 1 = Stage tools

Is stagetool in the standard MPFan post? If you are using an MPMaster Post you can definitely do as Keith Suggested. If you are not using an MPMaster post why aren't you?

It is the free downloadable post in the downloads portion of this site provided by InHouse solutions. It has more features in it than the standard MPFan Post and has many different configurations based on your needs that you can download. Give it a shot.
