Send programs to CNC machine

We had a program called Machine Link that we used to send programs to the Hass's after we saved them to the computer. We got a new computer and can't

find the disk that had the Machine Link program. Is there another way to send existing programs to the Haas? Can we just use the Mastercam program?

And if so, how?

We use Cimco Edit, which is bundled with Mastercam. You'll just need to configure Cimco's comm settings to match your machines. (Might take some trial and error)

Cimco edit is a great editor and easy to configure your machines on, you have to know the bits, stop bit, parity, speed, and I forget what else; in order for it to work. It should be fairly simple !

How can I open the editor so I can send a saved program to a machine?

Follow this path "C:\Program Files (x86)\mcamx5\common\Editors\CIMCOEdit5\CIMCOEdit.exe", off of windows 7, for Xp it's simply program files; you can pin it to the Stat Menu or the Taskbar. From within Mcam You are to select Cimco under the Editor selection box in the Settings/COnfiguration/Start-Exit Menu.
