V9.1 Setup Sheet Path

I don't recall this being an issue in previous versions of Mastercam...

 

In the config file, I set the path for the .html setup sheet file to C:MCAM91MILLMC9POSTS. Save the file, and everything works fine for a 'new' file.

However, when I bring in an older V9.0 file I have to open up the config file and reset the path, because the setup sheet template path is set to C:MCAM9MILLMC9 in the V9.1 coonfig file. All other paths are set ok.

 

Than I have to go back and reset things in the config file, 'cause it pickes up the current file settings which may not be what I want the defults to be..

Kathy,

Try starting mc but dont open a file

make all your settings, save them and exit mc

then reopen, load file and see if they stay.

I've had better luck doing things that way

Sorry Mayday - that dosen't seem to help!. Could someone please tell me where the .html setup sheet is linked to the .mc9 file so I can check that setting? Other that the config file...

Rename the old Mcam9 path, than it should work.

I am pretty sure that the older file will always try and set the system to what it was when it was created. I know that Job Set up will revert back to what it was not what you now want it to be.

 

Here is a work around when you know it is an older file:

From the Operations Manager select your ops and hit "Post", then "Change Post" and select the *.set file you want to use and it will post out your Setup Sheet. MP is used to process PST & SET files.

Thanks, that did work as a 'work around' but is almost as much as a pain in the a%%% as resetting the config file!
