Coons Patch

I'm working on the second molded part, and need to replace an imported surface with a Mastercam surface. In the first part, I used a coons patch, but in this part it ain't happening!

Any feedback for creating a coons patch? The geometry is a long, swept angle across an arc, down the side of the channel!

Thanks, Kathy

btw, I ended up using parallel surfacing with c'plane from the side and t'plane from the top. We cut the heck out of a 2x4, but the cuts were good. I'm all for a ftp site. If you could all see the parts i'm working on, it would make a whole lot more sense!

An open FTP site leaves it vulnerable for Warez use.

If Kathy wants to share her file, we'll take these steps:

1. Kathy to upload to ftp.emastercam.com/incoming using FTP software

2. Notify me by email of the file name

3. I'll transfer it to ftp.emastercam.com/Mastercam/Forum

4. A link to the file will be added to the topic

Yippeeeee!!!!

Bstall,

I clicked, and I clicked, and I clicked... yesterday afternoon with nothing.

After your response, I went back in and clicked, and it worked! I also just upgraded to 8.1 this morning. Would that have been a difference??

I sorta understand coons patch surfacing, but some of this work is trial/ error for me. I've really branched out in the past few months with cplanes, tplanes and all. I can't thank you all enough for all the help!

Kathy
