Mastercam and "Networks" - Roaming profiles

I have had a lot of problems with companies that use "roaming profiles" over a network for Mastercam users. Am I correct in my thinking that Mastercam runs better when it is strictly looking at the C: drive? Anybody have any thoughts on this?

Roaming profiles "can" be a BIG issue if the users roam to different computers with different hardware, ie; Nvidia card and an ATi cards

 

In some cases I have taken the my mcamx X6 folder and moved it into the Shared folder and set the user to to use that instead of the roaming profile network location.

 

It's not elegant but it works.
