importing coordinate systems

Yes,

 

You can export a Reference coordinate system out of Solidworks, you'll have to save out as a parasolid, then Mastercam can read the part with the reference system on it.

create a solidworks coordinate system that represents the desired orientation in Master

 

then

 

File

Save as

select X_T or X_B from the drop down

 

open the Options Page on the Save As page

 

and select the Coordinate system from the drop down menu

 

click OK

 

open the file in Mastercam... it will be oriented as defined by the Sw coordinate system

 

 

 

this works for STL files exported from SW too
