Thread mill

Hello everyone

I have an external thread to be Milled, it seems that I can not turn off the arc lead in and lead out, I would like to have perpendicular lead-in and lead-out instead, I have to start the thread start angle at 0 with perpendicular lead-in and have 1 1/4 turn and a perpendicular lead out.

I dont have a great deal of experience with thread milling, however I was under the impression that arc engage was always a good idea for thread milling. Why do you wish to have a perpendicular engage?

USE CONtOUR TOOLPATH

Contour ramp by depth=(your actual thread pitch)

turn off make path on final depth

turn off linerizs helixes

you can have whatever enter and exit

thank you for your quick respond, I'll will try the 2d ramp, I need the perpendicular because it's a core to mold a peanut butter cap, once again, thank you bothh of you very much for your helps.
