Hardinge / Bridgeport GX series VMCs

Anybody got anything good bad or ugly to say about these machines. They look fairly stout and we machine a variety of materials from high temp nickel base, to stainless, to hardened mold steels, to aluminum and am looking for, hopefully, opinions derived from real world experience as opposed to what the salesman was trying to sell us one half hour ago.

So far our GX1000osp(the only GX with Okuma control) is doing well. Do a search for the GX there was a lot of comments going. We a very happy with ours. Brought it in about a year & 4 months ago. Only issue I've had is the tool changer uses air actuators. If & when the air pressure drops & if the machine is in the middle of a tool change it gets all screwed up. Thats about all I could complain about. Oh 1 more order yours with ALL the options you want from the factory! Dont do the field install. Not a major issue but the back & forth crap is irritating. It did get installed & all is good just a irritation.
