Guhring drill recomendation

Recommended Posts

I have some Impellers here that need .250 to .312 diameter holes drilled in them. These holes are only for water to go through and location and size mean nothing. These parts are about 60 rockwell and mad from some type of cast steel. I cant hole pop them because my biggest electrode is .118 diameter. The hole will be going through roughly 3 inches thick. Can some one recommend which drill to get from Guhring.

At 3 in deep and at 60 Rc. I would have it EDM. It's way to deep to do anything else.

That's what we are doing right now on sinker. Wire edming it sucks because of the material. Jeremy put me on some OSG drills we are going to try next time that is supposed to be excellent for 50-70 Rockwell.
