Vacuum chuck on Makino HMC

I do a lot of work using a vacuum chuck on my Haas VMCs and my vacuum systems have a vacuum switch that is wired in series with the e-stop of the machine. If at any time I lose vacuum by machining through the part the e-stop will be triggered and the machine will stop. I would like to set up the vacuum system on my new Makino A51NX HMC to do this but I am not sure how to go about it. I have contacted Makino but they aren't very responsive when it comes to this sort of thing. Anyone know how this might be done? The control is a Fanuc 31.

if u can read electrical drawings, see if u can get the books for that machine, in the electrical book there will be a schematic for the e stop circuits, should be able to tap right in somewhere in the electrical cabinet with a normally open or closed switch, or if its easier to get to a estop button you could do it there as well

I am guessing you are trying to figure out how to wire it in with the pallet changer and all.. So you can pallet change without having to unhook and hook back in? How are you dealing with your vacuum lines?

Vacuum lines always stay connected to the tombstones so they are never disconnected, even during a pallet change. It would be helpful for the machine to look at the vacuum level of the pallet in the machine though. Good point.
