Attention SW2013 users

Good news for anyone whose been running the SW2013 beta

You've probably noticed the buttons on your Space Pilot and Space Mouse Pro haven't been working.

Yesterday I installed SW2013 PC1 ( production candidate 1) and they STILL didn't work.

This morning I replaced the latest 3D Connexion production drivers (3.15.6) with their latest Universal Beta Drivers (3.16.0)

I'm happy to report that they yield full functionality in

SW2013 PC1

Mastercam X5 and X6 (haven't tested earlier versions because they are not installed on this machine)

Adobe Reader 9

In SW and MC the puck's perfomance is very snappy.. better than the production drivers IMO

 

Last time I installed 3D Connexion's Universal beta drivers they did not support Vericut.

I will test Vericut, Catia V5R19 and NX5 tomorrow at work and report back.

 

Its a little tough finding the beta drivers.

The first post in the beta forum contains a link to download the current beta release (3.16.0 dated 8/17/12)

I tried this in

SpaceClaim .. the buttons are working now .. they didn't with production drivers

Vericut much smoother than prodcution drivers (didn't try the buttons)

Catia V5 R19 works well

NX5 works well..

 

I've been running them all morning, mostly in Mastercam with no issues so I'm going to stick with them

for a while and see how things go.
