G01 istead G81

Please help. I am a new in lathe machine programming and I have a problem. I get G01 instead G81 when I use simple drill cycle.

I's my program.

G00 G90 G40 G80 G53 Z0 X0 T0

T0505

(TOOL - 5 OFFSET - 5)

(CENTER DRILL- .25 DIA.)

G18

Please help to change situation.

What machine model/control? Not many support canned drilling believe it or not.

Whomever set up the post should have enabled whatever canned cycles exist on your control.

You need to enable the debugger to find the variable triggering this, what post do you have or upload so I can modify for you.

I have had to use a G83 with no Q if you need to drill straight thru.
