No disk in drive error

Is this a system error or does it just come up when you launch Mastercam?

If it's a system error, it may be hard drive failure... or a path to a network drive

this workstation can't see???

If it's a Mastercam error,.. did you copy a config file from another computer??

Gcode, it seems to be a mastercam problem. This station is not on a net hasp.

I am being told there was no MC files copied from anywhere else. This is a new

workstation, The only changes made were were the automatic upgrades from Microsoft

Windows 7.Code appears as the "begining startup tasks appears."

Was the install done to default locations??

My only idea is to delete the config file.

Mastercam will generate a new default config file the next time you launch.

If that fails you may want to do an uninstall/reinstall .. or wait for someone

with a better idea to come along.. I'm just guessing here

"There is no disk in drive. Please insert disk. \Device\harddisk3\DR3" error

I seem to recall getting the same type of error in x4 when I would leave an external floppy drive connected to my USB terminal over nite.

Never really figured out why it would do it but disconecting it from the USB seemed to work.

Just a shot in the dark.

Thanks for the inut guys. Gcode did the reinstall bit, worked fine the first time, later we came up with the same error code.

Oscar, just tried disconnecting the external drive, and now its working fine. Don't know why, but its a get around for now.

Its close to Miller Time, so we will continue Monday. Again, thanks for the help.
