Fanuc 16-T Control Question

Recommended Posts

Hello,

We have a CNC Studer Grinder that has a Fanuc 16-T Control.

The oil filter on this machine needs to be changed every 2000 hours of operation.

My question:

Is there a way to reset the hours of operation on this control back to zero, WITHOUT .. having to turn off Peewee and then physically change the internal parameter?

Is there maybe a macro that I could write and upload into the control that would be able to reset the parameter?

Thanks for any help you can offer!!

Hopefully you have macro B option. Be weally weally carefull

O1000 NC Program number G10L50; (Parameter input mode ON) N1320 P1 R50; (1320 is parameter number, P1-is for the 1st axis within the parameter or X-axis) (R25=value to “25”). G11; (Parameter input mode OFF)

Example G10 Program to change a parameter with 8 bits

O1000 NC Program number G10L50; (Parameter input mode ON) N0012R11001100 (0012 is parameter number, 11001100=bit 0 to bit8). G11; (Parameter input mode OFF)

Might consider making it a 9000 program number locked down and you could even assign a g code to it.

just a thought, one typo in mdi could set an arbitrary parameter and get you in some trouble that you might not realize till possible crash??

Its setup in the settings page or parameter page? cant remember which. you can assign g or m codes to 9000 series programs. #6050 rings a bell but it has been a looong time for me. Be carefull with these their are usually some in use and could cause a multitude of ? problems if you walk on something existing.

Newbeee is correct an M code (misc code) for this case would be more appropriate.
