I installed the html setup sheet and followed

all the instructions in the read me file.

but when trying to open the setup sheet,

the explorer opens and gives me the message :

"internet explorer cannot open the internet site : http://files/mcam8/mill/nc/testing.html c:/program files/mcam8/mill/nc/testing.html"

I found that html file at: c:/program files/mcam8/mill/nc/testing.html

what is the problem??

thanks,

Generally spaces are a bad thing in a URL. How many Internet domain names have spaces in them? Some applications get around this by inserting a %20 in place of a space, but the HTML product doesn't go to this bother.

From the Readme file that you diligently read:

"File names with spaces are not supported."

That should perhaps be modified to say "Directory and File names..."

Ok, I have Mastercam installed properly but I still can't get the browser to launch. Is it because of the spaces in the Directory names, (as mentioned before in this post)???

My filenames never have any spaces, we're using Windows NT, Mastercam V8.1, and we have had no success at all with this HTML set-up sheet installation. Will it look like the example at the "eMastercam, Tools site"??

Should the string in "HTML.set" look like this?

"C:Program%20FilesInternet%20Exploreriexplorer.exe"

or

"C:Program%20FilesPlus!Microsoft%20Internetiexplore.exe"

with the %20 in either strings??

The Explorer string is internal to the post, and doesn't have the same constraints as files on the web.

Your string should be:

sexplorer "C:Program FilesInternet Exploreriexplore.exe"

or

sexplorer "C:Program FilesPlus!Microsoft Internetiexplore.exe"

depending on where the iexplore.exe file actually resides.
