Cant create a new tool in MC7

Recommended Posts

We just got done loading MC7 in our computer and trying to set up all the

different menus so things go smoothly when making a program. I had a

problem right from the start. I don't use a tool library cause I find it just as

easy to create tools on the fly. But when I tried to do this, MC locked up

and shut down. It does this every time. When I right click to create a new

tool, MC locks up. Anyone else have this problem?

Mastercam is trying to launch the new tool manager and can't for some reason.

Try launching it from the Start Menu

Start/All Programs/Mastercam 7/Tool Manager.

If you can launch it from there, maybe it will start launching properly when you hit "New Tool"

I do remember it taking a long time to launch the first time I hit New Tool

I went the the start menu to launch the tool manager. I also crashes when you try to make a new tool there.

I talked to the MC dealer and they think there are corrupt registry files and I need to clean out. I think we are

going to completely restore the computer to clean out all files then reload MC7 and Outlook which are

the only programs we have on the computer. I will get back with the results of whether it works or not.
