MC7 works with new computer

I read some of the forum comments here after we loaded MC7 on our existing computer at work because we had so many problems. Then I read that someone (not sure who) said they loaded a fresh copy of MC7 on a brand new computer and it worked fine. So thats what we did. And we are having very few problems. I noticed from the first program I made that this was going to work well. Also I think it was probably a problem to migrate files from MC6 to MC7. That may have caused all the problems. But this is to let everyone know that MC7 works great when loaded on a new computer.

Yeah, I had loads of problems when upgrading/migrating. I finally wiped the registry keys and config files and did a fresh install. I then imported my machines and some operations. I also imported custom toolbar/mouse setting, but I did not use the migration utility. I used the update folder.

Jeff, are you talking Mastercam 6 and 7, or X6 and X7? Big Difference

Yes, Todd, I agree. We would love to hear about V7 working on a new computer as there is a C-hook called moldbase that we are fond of and it is a real problem keeping a WIN 98SE computer up and running. If any one has a fix let me know!
