Machine Def Change/Lost Toolpaths

Hi all. I am hoping to find some help. I just lost all of my tool paths after changing the Machine Definition. When the dialogue box came up to "Save Only Geometry" I selected ok. I changed the Definition and came back to no tool paths. The odd thing is that if I try to delete an entity I get the warning that it is associated to a tool path. Is there a way to restore the tool paths?

Thanks for the help.

Sorry to hear you lost your toolpaths Sonny.

I try to avoid that by constantly saving my files with different names. ie

PART1-AUG-10-2013.MCX

PART1-AUG-11-2013.MCX

PART1-AUG-11_10AM-2013.MCX

PART1-AUG-11_12PM-2013.MCX

At the end I go and delete all the extra programs. It has saved me many times.

I used to do this back in V9 days

With really big files I'd even burn the file to a CD every morning before I started working.

Now I just use the Mastercam backup utility. Set it up and forget about it

I always have the backup utility switched. When I'm done with the file, and the job is completed, I clean out the backup folder. It has saved my bacon (mmmm, bacon) plenty of times.
