Installing X7

I have downloaded x7 and then updated to x7sp2. Things didn't look right so I uninstalled all of it and then re installed. When I did EVERYTHING came back in just like I hadn't done anything. One of my problems I have is in the control definition under operation defaults the only thing that pops up is Mill. I am using WIRE. I cannot make my wire poer library stick no matter what I do. Anyone have any idea what I have done wrong?

Del,

You can set the startup mode in your System Configuration file. Change your startup mode from Mill to Wire. You can also set a default machine/control for that startup mode.

Hope that helps,

Colin

Thanks Colin.

It already was set to default to wire. I ended up having to go to Utilities in X7 and deactivate mill through the mastercam launcher. Don't know why but it worked and then my operation defaults came up in my control definition. PIA every time I update. I think I will use X7 until I retire.

I see nothing new in Wire anyway.
