Im trying to make a fixture for a thin chassis and I keep getting the error non manifold, I understand what that is but how do I fix it, thanks

You are likely left with a piece that is disjointed from the original solid OR you are trying to create and undercut with boolean remove.

 

In the case of the latter, you might have to extrude cut the undercut areas out instead of the boolean remove feature

 

 

and your reseller, Cimquest, that should be available for Tech Support today as well if you can't figure it out

Ok that makes scense do I assume I need to remove the undercuts before then. here is a copy of the file

Yeah, you have a little bit of work there do

 

With Boolean, it will remove the areas it touchs, so all those under cuts will need to be handled

MoMo you mind if I turn that into a training thing for how to go about making a fixture plate for a part shaped like that?

Great part to show some basic fixture ideas to people. I assume you are doing a swap plate with shoulder bolts going into the STI threaded holes? Will it be on Vertical or Horizontal machine? Have you looked at Zero Point stuff? This is a great part where two Zero Clamp components well make it swap out pretty quick.
