Tapping with an Okuma lathe??????

I have never ran a tap on a lathe, never seen it done before.

Does MasterCam have any tool paths for it?

Yes, you can choose between "Lathe Drilling" or "Mill Drilling" toolpaths. The Lathe toolpath should use a fixed tap tool, and the rotation is done with the lathe spindle. The Mill toolpath would use a "live" tool, and the chuck remains clamped (usually).

We have an okuma lathe here and I just use templates with manual entry. The code that I use looks like this

It is an osp7000 control and we use a floating tap holder

Stephen there is not need to do it that. The lathe cycle for threading is very easy and making the simple post edit is a couple minute job. If you need help with something like that then make a simple file do a .z2g and I will be glad to help you get it done.

Steve you already have everything you need in the post. I reviewed this and when you pick the correct cycles you get exactly what you wanted for posted code. The only difference is the P codes for sync, but that is easily changed if you need it to be different. Other thing you can do it make logic to control that output so you can control the sync process to the level you want. Look at the Drill Cycle you did before and go to G74 when you put in Values you get output if you do not put in values then you will not get output. I have nothing to do since it is already all taken care of.
